In case you didn’t know JustaBXgirl is a little fashionista with a big side of DIVA. She picks out her clothes on most days unless she can’t be bothered. On days she “allows” me to choose her outfits she often vetoes my first, second and third selections. Remember the morning of my last major #MomFail?
We were blessed to be invited to the kidpik basics fall chic sneak peek. Of course JustaBXgirl chose a fancy dress for the occasion. Have you hear of kidpik? kidpik is the newest launch from fashion entrepreneur, Ezra Dabah and his team. I’m betting you’re trying to remember how you know his name. Let me help you out. You might recognize him from working with such brands as Gitano in the 1980s, The Children’s Place in the 1990s, The Disney Stores in the early 2000s and most recently with Nina Footwear and Ruum American Kid’s Wear. Yup, that Ezra Dabah (who I might add is very charming). Anyway, back to the brand that you now KNOW you can trust.
kidpik launched their subscription box earlier this year. Think personal shopper meets the convenience of not having to leave your home. If you’ve ever tried going shopping with a child (or more) you know you would be willing to pay top dollar for this kind of service. And guess what? With kidpik you get top dollar quality at affordable prices.
The boxes are seasonal. They send you 1, 4 or 8 boxes a year (you choose the frequency). Each box contains 5-7 items selected based on a style survey you fill out (or have your daughter fill out). If you love the whole box you keep it and receive a 30% discount. If you don’t want everything you send back what isn’t right for you at the moment and are only charged for what you keep. Talk about easy shopping? Oh and shipping (both ways) is free.
It gets even better though. Now you can buy kidpik basics (available in girls sizes 4 – 14) directly on the kidpik website without having to wait for your box! If you’re like me then this is great news. I love the idea of the box arriving and someone else doing the selection for me BUT I also love the idea of being able to pick up some pieces whenever the mood hits me. Oh, and did I mention how affordable they are? Prices range from $6.50 – $17.50 and orders over $50 get free shipping.
Okay, now that you’re caught up on what kidpik is. Let’s get back to our day at the kidpik basics fall chic sneak peek. JustaBXgirl chooses her fancy dress and we head to the event. As soon as we walk in she is excited by the vibrant colors and clothes everywhere. She soon gets sidetracked by rainbow bagels and facepainting. I pick out a few things that I think she might like (and wish they had some of the items in my size). I was able to pry her away from coloring to try on her clothes and take a few photos in front of the step and repeat.
Then it happens. I tell JustaBXgirl it’s time to change back into her dress. She refused. This little girl decided that she loved her her new outfit too much to change. Her exact words were “I’m never taking this off. Okay, I’m taking it off to get in the bath but then I’m putting it right back on.” She delivered this information while pointing her finger to show how serious she was.
Yup my little Fancy Nancy is a fan. And I’m betting the little girls in your life will be as well. Check out the site and let me know what’s your favorite item.
