If Peppa Pig teaches our children anything it teaches them that the most fun thing in the world is jumping in muddy puddles. And as a parent it must be one of the scariest things your child can ask to do. Oh? That’s just me?
Muddy puddles makes me think of muddy little footprints being tracked into my home or car. Muddy puddle jumps make me think of the splashing that leads to mud stained clothing. Or even better mud soaked clothing on your way to an event. Just me? Stop! I know it’s not.
When I attended ENK Children’s Club in July, I fell in love with the Splashy rain suit for kids. I just knew that it would save me many arguments with JustaBXgirl as we entered into the fall. When we received her pink rain suit she had even more ideas. The first thing she said was that it was coming with us to Florida in October. Nope, she’s not worried about any lingering hurricanes. This darling child of mine is planning to wear her Splasy rain suit to sit front and center in SeaWorld’s soak zone. Yup, she’s planning ahead.
Her soak zone request was quickly followed by a jubilant scream of realizing she would now be able to jump in those above mentioned muddy puddles. The only problem was the sky was clear. And they stayed clear!
You have never seen a child so excited for rain as JustaBXgirl. You would have thought it was raining candy outside as she jumped up and down asking if we could go out. My dad was completely confused as he had not yet seen her new rain suit hanging in the closet. Grandpa was even silly enough to suggest she take an umbrella. Completely unnecessary once she was locked and loaded into her rain suit and rain boots. My little pink blob was ready to go.
The great thing with this suit is it is easy to put on and take off. The ease of on and off came in handy as the showers decided to start and stop throughout the day. It was also great to be able to easily slip it off when she had to get in her car seat.
I have a feeling this is going to be one of our favorite autumn and winter accessories. We will be using this for when we make snow angels. I love how it keeps all of the moisture on the outside. I kind of wish they came in adult sizes.
