JustaBXgirl and I love a good party. And since a good party usually includes Bounty for the clean up I just knew that the #QuickerPickerUpper would know how to throw a good party as well. They did not disappoint. Paper flowers, painting, cake decorating, snacks, cake smashing and plenty of Bounty to clean up the mess. What more could you ask for? Oh, I know, mother and author Kristin Cavallari and some of my favorite blogging friends. Yup, they were there too!
One of the things I love about blogging is the friendships that come out of them. Looking around the room at this event you would have thought it was really someone’s birthday party. Groups of friends were gathered talking and laughing. Children were doing crafts, playing catch with paper flowers or just running and crawling around being children. Moms (and dads) were cleaning faces and spills with Bounty paper towels (please don’t ask me how JustaBXgirl spilled a cup of apple juice on one of her smash cakes). It was a really good time.
You should have seen JustaBXgirl light up when one of her blogging buddies ran into the room. These children were really at a party. I’m sure if you follow me on Instagram you had an idea of how cool this event was. I think my favorite parts were Kristin Cavallari decorating cakes with JustaBXgirl and watching the children creating their own ball pit out of the paper flowers from the step and repeat! P.S. JustaBXgirl wasn’t into the smashing idea when it came time for cake smash.
I know I’m already at the beginning stages of planning JustaBXgirl’s fourth birthday. Yup, I know it’s not until January but time is flying. I’ll be keeping these tips from Kristin and Bountyin mind when it comes time. If you have your own party planning happening then I know you’ll find them helpful too.
