I know, I know, it is November but we are still relishing in all of the Halloween fun we had last month. I felt it necessary to share again all of the really cool haunts we hit up in case you missed and need ideas for next year. Remember, it is never too early to start planning!
Boo At The Zoo – The Bronx Zoo is one of our favorite places in NYC. We shared our trip this year for our visit. Normally, we would go a few times during the month. This year we only made it once but it was just as much fun and we will be visiting the zoo again soon just because!
Brick or Treat – This was a cute way to get JustaBXgirl and her cousin prepped for trick or treating. They were able to brick or treat around Legoland Discovery Center to build their own souvenir bat. We can’t wait to go visit for Star Wars Days this month.
Mommy Bites Halloween Brunch – I love events that connect me with places and people I need to know about. Attending the Mommy Bites Brunch was one of those events. I was able to visit with some trusted brands and learn about some that I was unfamiliar with. And everyone’s littles looked so adorable. My favorite kids costume had to be the baby Donald Duck. Oh, and did I mention the food was DELICIOUS?
Good Housekeeping Halloween Party – This was such an amazing Halloween Party. I didn’t take JustaBXgirl because I had another event after. Don’t worry, I did trick or treating for her! This party was so fun for everyone. We made strawberry ghosts by dipping them in yogurt and adding candy eyes! So much fun. They also had yummy cocktails for the adults. Did you see any of the fun on my Instagram? Hoping we get invited again next year.
American Museum Of Natural History Halloween Celebration – There were so many activities the weekend before Halloween but I’m so happy that we went to this one. We had so much fun trick or treating in the museum. Between stilt walkers, hungry caterpillars and dinosaurs running around it was a magical day. I love the fact that JustaBXgirl wanted to visit exhibits throughout the celebration. We will be making this a tradition. Want to join us next year?
Dr. Panda Halloween Party – This was a great way to show the littles they could have fun without getting too creepy or too over the top. All you need to make a great party is some friends, music and great games. Oh, and some really cute decorations.
40th Precinct Halloween Street Party – On our way to catch the train to go trick or treating we ran smack dab into the 40th Precinct’s Halloween Block Party. We were a little early so we didn’t get to participate in everything but JustaBXgirl was able to get a balloon, do the NeNe and take some fun photos.
Trick Or Treating At Grand Central Terminal – I don’t like trick or treating. I’m sure you know that by now. Still, I suck it up and try to hide my distaste as JustaBXgirl enjoys herself. I have to admit bringing my Cinderella to trick or treat in Grand Central Terminal was rather magical. At one point JustaBXgirl looked up and said, “mommy, I feel like I’m at a royal ball.” If you go here next year please go early. It started at 3p and some of the stores were already out of candy by 4p.
Jerome-Gunhill BID Halloween Town – We happened upon this celebration by accident. On our way home from Grand Central I told JustaBXgirl that we could get off the train a stop early and do some more trick or treating. As soon as we got off the train JustaBXgirl was tempted by free face painting. The face painters were so talented, pleasant and swift. It was a great way to end our day.
