Have you heard of the Fresh Air Fund? If you’re a New Yorker chances are you know at least one person that attended a summer sponsored by them. Each summer children from low-income homes are given the opportunity to attend camp and become familiar with the great outdoors. Free Country, an active Lifestyle brand is not partnering up to help more children be able to gain access to this amazing program.
Summer camp is not something every family can afford. Swimming in a lake is something every child doesn’t have access to do. With the help of this program, children can be introduced and begin to build a relationship with nature that will be beneficial to the child, the land and to everyone else. Connecting with the great outdoors does so much for a person both physically and mentally.
Free Country has designed a limited edition t-shirt with 100% of the proceeds going towards supporting the Fresh Air Fund’s free summer and academic enrichment programs for children from underserved NYC neighborhoods. If that doesn’t give us a reason to support Free Country and go out and buy a shirt, I don’t know what does!
