2018 is about women supporting women. I mean, that should be every year but this year I am doing my best to support other women doing their thing. And when given the chance to support women that are supporting women? Count me in! And then add in that I get to find out about new hair care products and get tips from other women running businesses I might have found my Mecca.
That’s what it was like heading to Glambition 2018. Talk about woman empowerment. Entering the Google building you could feel the energy exuding from these women. I’m far from a beauty expert but got to hang out with Two Geeks And A Dame’s resident Beauty Geek and found out we were in good company. She was familiar with many of the brands being exhibited and helped me to see ways to incorporate a lot of their products into my life while still feeling like myself. Everyone needs a friend like her!
My favorite new connection was meeting Jane Carter of Jane Carter Solutions. Have you ever met someone and in moments known they were part of your tribe? I could have stayed talking with this amazing mompreneur for hours. We spoke motherhood, business and the power that hair holds especially for Women of Color. I cannot wait to connect with her further.
I’m also looking forward to checking out Face in a Case. It is a really cool way to take your makeup with you. I don’t regularly travel with makeup except for a lip gloss but this case is awesome. It’s from Faces and they have magnetic palettes that stick right to the inside of this clutch case. There’s also room for your wallet and phone. What else do you need?
Panel discussions and roundtables. Yup, Glambition is a complete package. There was an exclusive Blogger Roundtable where we were able to get some info on the featured products as well as being gifted some fun swag. After our roundtable, it was just about time for the panel discussions. I’m telling you people left this event feeling and looking good. I cannot wait for the next one.
