JustaBXgirl and I attended the New York Baby Show over the weekend and we had so much fun. As we walked through the aisles JustaBXgirl would ask me if she had this or that item when she was a baby. I would tell her how I wish some of these items had been around at the time of her babyhood. I mentally take notes on what I think all of you will love and I think of which items would make my registry if I had to create one tomorrow. I also, as I have shared, I look at baby shows through the lens of a big kid mom and try to figure out what can still work for my little.
Here are the things that stood out for me at this show.
Favorite Child Items
3Dpac CS+ Compact Fold stroller – I love that this stroller has the ability to attach a car seat so you can use it from the start! I also love that even though it is a compact model it has a lot of full-sized features. The undercarriage can store a lot, the canopy is oversized and there’s a lot of additional seat padding that makes for a comfortable ride. Your little will be able to use this up to 50 pounds.
Evenflo EveryStage All-In-One Car Seat –JustaBXgirl wanted to crawl right into this car seat. I love that this seat is the only one you will ever need. Your little can use it from 4 pounds all the way to 110 pounds! Yup, you read that right. And it has Easyclick technology that makes for a three times tighter installation leaving no wriggle room. Oh, and as you notice it has two cupholders. JustaBXgirl really liked these.
Story Time Chess – Last year one of our favorite finds was Chess at Three. This year we found their new game, Story Time Chess. It is a way to bring home the brilliant way that they have found to teach chess to someone as young as three. I’m really excited for them as they just recently launched on Kickstarter and have already been fully funded! We cannot wait to get our hands on this.
Mabel’s Labels – Mabel’s Labels are always a favorite of ours. JustaBXgirl loves seeing her name on them and since her name isn’t one that we can find normally in places that have personalized items I like to keep them around the house so anything can become personalized!
Face Art By Melissa – Listen, I don’t know her prices but if you’re looking for face painting in NYC you NEED to get in touch with this woman. Melissa is so very talented. We’ve seen her at other events and her quality is always the same so very, very impressive. She is also so quick that it seems she is done in the blink of an eye.
Favorite Mommy Item
