There are so many fun things happening in the City in October I figured I would just share some of the fun in one post instead of making you click through multiple ones. You already know we stay on the go and I have no idea how I’m fitting all of this fun into our calendar but we will somehow manage. Oh, and in no way is this a complete list. I mean, there are hundreds if not thousands of things to do with kids in NYC every October and they don’t necessarily have to do with Halloween!
Keep reading to find out five of our favorite NYC happenings this month!
BEPPO THE CLOWN
You might remember a few months ago we headed to the Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre to check out a show. It was our first time checking the Cottage out and I shared that we would go again. I just found out that Beppo the Clown is heading to the Swedish Cottage for a limited engagement in October. We are hoping to make a playdate out of it again!
The show will take place from Wednesday, October 3rd, through Sunday, October 7th, at the Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre in Central Park. Based on the book written in 1945 by Else Fisher Bergman, Sagan om Beppo ( Story of Beppo ), Beppo the Clown will be a family-friendly adaptation performance featuring puppetry, acting, narration and, music. Beppo the Clown features Beppo, a shy clown, who embarks on a journey from the circus to find bravery with the help of some friends.

MONSTER BOOGIE HALLOWEEN CONCERT
Now I know that I’m not the only Laurie Berkner fan up in here. We are so excited to be heading to this event as it will be our first time attending. We have however been present for other Laurie shows and she and her band never disappoint. Make sure to wear a costume and bring a stuffed animal for your head when you go. Get your tickets and more info HERE. Oh, and have you checked out the Monster Boogie book yet? If you missed me talk about it, go read now!
AMERICAN MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY’S 23RD HALLOWEEN CELEBRATION
Last year was our first year attending this event and it will now be an annual tradition. If you’ve been to AMNH then you know it is always a magical and fun experience. Add in the Halloween treats and your littles will never want to leave. I know I didn’t! It will be more exciting and kind of reminiscent of living Night At The Museum. You can check out some of the fun they have planned for October 27th, right HERE.
BOO AT THE ZOO
We love the Bronx Zoo. We go year round if you didn’t already know, yes, even in the winter! However, our FAVORITE time to go is during Boo At The Zoo. Seeing everyone walking around in costumes, going trick or treating near animals, crafting and the decorations! Seriously, best fall photo opps without having to go apple picking! Check out the schedule on the Bronx Zoo’s site.
