Did you know Calico Critters came out in 1985? I was six years old. That’s the same age that JustaBXgirl is now. For some reason, as a child, I never had Calico Critters but I can remember playing with them at friends’ houses. I remember the beauty of them. They felt special. They felt fancy but touchable. That hasn’t changed. Holding and playing with Calico Critters feels special. I think one of my favorite things about reviewing toys is seeing so much of my childhood repeat. Not only seeing items like these that have continued throughout the span of decades showing their value and worth but seeing how JustaBXgirl plays with them
JustaBXgirl has been a fan of them since she found the Calico Critter booth at TTPM a few years ago. I love watching her play with the toys and disappear into the world of Calico Critters. And what a world it is! There are so many adventures to go on and thanks to our friends at EPOCH our homeworld of Calico Critters has just expanded.

Blind Bags – Baby Shopping Series – As you can see in the photo, our panda friend came with popcorn, not a milkshake as thought in the video. I really wanted to get the kitty with the cash register but there is always next time.
Blind Bags – Baby Band Series– JustaBXgirl was very excited to get the drummer bunny because she is all about the drums. We both love how the little bunny holds the drumsticks. We can’t wait to get the rest and start a band.
Baby Ferris Wheel – Soooo, make sure to pay attention to the directions so that you can put the stickers on correctly! JustaBXgirl and I were so excited to start playing with this that we put it together and then realized that we forgot to put on some of the stickers!!! I love that the ferris wheel comes with one friend to play. JustaBXgirl gets a kick of loading and unloading while some of the Calico Critters wait their turn. It can be a terrific tool to work on sharing.
Nursery Friends Set – How adorable are the outfits that these Nursery Friends come with? We completely love the accessories. JustaBXgirl says the water bottle is her most favorite.
JustaBXgirl is planning to put together a full playset carnival this weekend for her Calico Critters and other small friends. I’m excited to see what she comes up with.
