It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, every where you scroll. I normally wait until after Thanksgiving to go fully Christmas but this year, all of the regular rules are out of the door. I wanted to post this month’s book shelf early because I am about to get into my Holiday Gift Guides and I don’t want you to miss all the fun reads we have happening this month.

Yup, there are a few holiday titles in the mix but there is plenty more to go along with them. So even if you’re not in the holly jolly mood as of yet, I can assure that you will find something on this list to your liking!

The Three Wishes – This is such a beautiful story. As we read it together, JustaBXgirl at first worried about the boy getting lost in the forest. She was intrigued about what he found in the cave. She was happy when he got to visit his family and she was elated by the ending. It is an amazing holiday read that will leave you happy and believing in the good of people.

Claris The Chicest Mouse In Paris – OMGosh, this book might be JustaBXgirl’s new favorite book. The colors in the illustrations are breathtaking. The story is so sweet and the rhyming words are fun. It is quite the adventure and teaches many lessons throughout the story. Now we are looking forward to checking out the other Claris books.

Star Stables Soul Riders Book 1: Jorvik Calling – You might remember that Star Stable is one of the online programs that I spoke about in a recent post. JustaBXgirl is a huge fan of the Jorvik universe. Discovering the Soul Riders trilogy was a reason to do a happy dance. JustaBXgirl was so excited to get the first two books of the series that she wouldn’t let me read with her. She wanted to experience the fun on her own. I’m hoping that she lets me read soon because I want to learn about the magic powers of the Soul Riders and if I need to be scared of the Dark Riders.

Fairy Tale Reform School Flunked – We read two books from the Rebel Academy series and knew we needed to check this one out. Ginny is an awesome character and I definitely didn’t see the twist coming with Jax. I am a huge fan of Jen Calonita’s writing style and looked forward to reading more of her adventures.

National Geographic Kids Nerdlet Animals – As you know, we adore National Geographic Kids books. Nerdlet is the best book to throw in a bag and keep with us wherever we are to entertain us. It is filled with facts about so many different animals including some real life unicorns.

National Geographic Space Encyclopedia 2nd Edition – The photographs in this books are absolutely gorgeous. This is an ideal encyclopedia for space lovers and can be a wonderful addition to homeschooling. We enjoy simply flipping through and finding random pages to stop on. There is so much information included that we will be using this title for years.

National Geographic Kids The Coolest Stuff on Earth – Okay, so this is the type of book that will keep you entertained for HOURS. And at times make you feel dumb. I read JustaBXgirl some facts out loud and she told me to keep up with Wild Kratts because she already knew what I shared. This books isn’t just about animals though. It has all types of info about places and things as well. Chapter 8 is Money Decoded and is filled with really interesting information.
