It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Okay, let’s be real, it is 2020 and it has been looking like Christmas since the day after Halloween. People are looking for good things to hold onto in a year that has been challenging for many. This year, I am quick to remind everyone that they should be unsubscribing from store emails and not splurging on gifts. I have been unsubscribing regularly for the past few months.
Now with that said, I know that we need joy. And for some of us, that joy comes in gift-giving. As a blogger, gift guides are normally one of my favorite things to do. If you’ve been around for a while then you know that I go a bit crazy when it comes to them. I love buying gifts. And I love sharing ideas. This year, I wanted to be very intentional about what I share. Now, the reality is that I never share items that don’t make me excited but this year, my standard has been raised!
I decided to start the 2020 gift guides with things to buy for babies, toddlers and new moms! I chose these items because they feel really special to me.
KeaBabies Diaper Bag Backpack – I’ve featured an earlier version of this bag on the site before. I need you to understand how much I love this backpack. Now, JustaBXgirl has not been a baby for a really long time but I use the version of this that I have very regularly. It has so much space, is easy to clean, has so many pockets, and is completely fashionable. And now, it comes in new patterns so I think that I need a new one! Oh, and did I mention how affordable it is? Under $30.
Mama’s Milk & Me A Countdown Journal For Nursing Mothers- Not sure if you have been here long enough to know this but I breastfed for four years and one day. I have always been a breastfeeding advocate and am blessed to have a lactation consultant as a best friend. I wish that when my journey was coming to an end that I had something like this to spill my thoughts into. Saying goodbye to breastfeeding is a turning point for child and parent. This is a beautiful way to honor the passage.
Unicorn Plush Pod – This is such a cute little toy. It is the perfect thing to keep little hands entertained. It is also soft and able to be a favorite plushie. It can lead to lots of giggles and some fun games of peek-a-boo.
Keababies Keepsake Ornament Kit – This is one of those gifts that keep on giving. You create the ornament then get to see it hang up on the tree every year. This is such a beautiful keepsake that I would keep it up all year round. We have a handprint bulb on our tree. If my nephew hadn’t been born a few months ago I probably would have wanted to keep this to create something with JustaBXgirl but since we have a baby in the family this will be going to him.
HAPE Shape Sorter Xylophone and Piano – This should really be on a toy school post but I figured you might be looking here first for gift ideas. I absolutely love this. The colors are nice and bright. This allows music play, sorting play, shape identification and so much more fun. And the best part is for the next two days Target is having a 25% off of one toy sale so this will be a steal!
HAPE My First Block Set – Do you ever outgrow playing with blocks? Nope, at least I don’t. I love these blocks. They’re great for all ages but I decided to put them on the baby/toddler list so that you can get them early and have them grow with your family. This set is exclusively found at Target.
Barbie Dream Camper Pop Up Tent – One thing I have learned is that tents are gifts not just for toddlers and kids but for adults as well. We all find peace when littles have the space to be in their own worlds (except when they try to make us fit inside, please don’t try LOL). My god daughter is really into Barbie right now and I think this is a perfect gift to give her space to play, dream and have her own Barbie adventures. I love that it is simple to store and set up, the colors are vivid, and my most favorite part is that Barbie is ready for her road trip with her friends!
