Not sure about you, but I’ve felt in a weird time warp this year. I feel like days are flying but I’m moving at a snail’s pace. Lots of new things happening around here and I wanted to catch you up. As you might have noticed, I’ve been a tiny bit quieter on here and on social media. I’m still here. And I have a lot to share. I’m also honoring my needs. Can’t pour from an empty cup and all of that!
We are now more than halfway through our first year of homeschooling. It is working wonderfully for our home and we are already preparing for next year. I am learning a lot about myself and JustaBXgirl through this experience and I look forward to sharing our experiences with you. I will be continuing our #HiHomeschool series where I share curriculum that we are using. If you’ve been following the series, then you know that we have had the opportunity to check out some awesome curricula thanks to being part of the Melanated Gold Review Squad. I haven’t been too active on our HiHomeschool Tik Tok but you can follow us over there to see some of the fun in action.
I will also be continuing our monthly Bookshelf and Watchlists posts. Toy School will no longer be monthly but will still be a regular series on the site. I feel like I was getting so caught up in our monthly series that I wasn’t really getting the chance to just create content. I want to go back to the site feeling a bit more organic. Please remember that you can always revisit any of the posts because the recommendations are timeless.
Don’t worry, toys will still be a huge part of the site. In fact, I’ve recently started nannying for a 1-year-old so expect to see a lot of toddler toys being featured again. Currently, JustaBXgirl is obsessed with plushies and LEGO so those will be highlighted a lot. In fact, JustaBXgirl is part of the 2022 Creative Crew at the Westchester LEGOLand Discovery Center. Expect to see a lot about that on my IG.
I also wanted to share that I have created a Patreon. There are different tiers so that you can subscribe to what makes sense for your family. I will be creating dedicated content for subscribers as well as hosting Patreon-only giveaways.
