My goal for this summer is to get out and have fun. I’m still not comfortable with crowds so I look for ways to have fun while being in our own space. That leads to plenty of time at the park. Yes, the park, not the playground. Am I the only mom that really doesn’t enjoy playgrounds? Parks though? I can vibe with open grass, trees, and the occasional squirrel looking at you like, “when you going home?” For real though, I’ll take a park over a playground just about any day. And here are a few of the items I’m bringing with us this summer for our days out.
Hape Scoot-Around Balance Bike – Now that HOPS is with us most days, I look for fun items for her. Here is one that she has been enjoying since springtime. While JustaBXgirl is learning to ride her skateboard outdoors, HOPS has been zooming around my house on this. She rides up and down the halls and has learned to turn. Lately, she’s been asking to take it with us when we head out.
3C4G Butterfly Inflatable Lounge Chair – JustaBXgirl has wanted one of these ever since she saw one in action at her friend’s birthday party a few years ago. She’s recently fallen in love with butterflies so this was a perfect option. It comes with a drawstring bag that it folds into when not in use. When it is in use it is six feet long and can hold up to 250 pounds. That means that mama will be taking her turn. It is perfect for parks, beaches, or lounging in front of our building!
Fömilator foam blaster– You might remember this one from our TTPM recap. It’s a foam blaster that shoots up to 15 feet. It is lots of fun and a perfect addition to summer. Forget your regular water gun battle. This is so much better. And don’t worry, the foam doesn’t stain.
GELSTORM Blaster – My nephew has wanted a gel blaster gun for over a year. I refused to get him one because I don’t want anyone mistaking a toy gun for a real one in his hands. That is my favorite thing about this one. It does not look like a real weapon but that doesn’t mean it isn’t powerful. It comes with 10,000 gel ball pellets to make sure you have a good amount of ammo to break it in. The automatic burst function launches pellets up to 100 feet. The pellets while soft do hit hard so be aware using this around littles. It’s better for teens but still can bruise lightly if they’re not wearing coverings.
Föm Mania fomalanche – Foam parties probably looked a heck of a lot different before you had littles. I know they did before I had JustaBXgirl. These days I am all about foam fun with my little ones. This is one machine that JustaBXgirl and HOPS can enjoy together. Our home setup is nowhere near as cool as this TTPM one so I had to share this throwback!
