The 5 fun titles in this month’s bookshelf are ones that will keep your family talking. They will make you laugh, they will make you feel feelings, they will enchant you, and more. Earth Day is coming next month and The Planet We Call Home is a wonderful read to prepare for littles in your life., while Global is a thought-provoking read for the older littles when it comes to discussing our planet.
The Planet We Call Home – This is a wonderful read. I love how this book reminds us how connected everything and everyone is. Each page builds on the previous page growing into a beautiful ode to our planet. The illustrations are adorable and give us so much to look at.
Groundhog Gets it Wrong – This was a cute read about the importance of putting effort into doing your best. The groundhog in this story wants to do well. He just assumed that he could do his job without preparing. When that didn’t work out, he tried to make it right. He even gave up and stopped believing in himself for a while. Ultimately, he realized that he had to put in the work if he wanted to be good at being a meteorologist. It’s also a fun way to introduce the Groundhog predicting the weather idea to children.
National Geographic Kids Just Joking 7 – If you’re a fan of kids’ jokes, tongue twisters, and riddles then this is right up your alley. 300 jokes will keep your little laughing for days. And the animal photos! I mean, it is a National Geographic book so you know that they are simply amazing.
The Unofficial Hogwarts Cocktail Book – This is a perfect library addition to any Potterhead’s collection. This book contains over 50 recipes to celebrate your obsession with the series. They’re magically delicious. It even contains mocktails for the younger Potterheads.
Global – JustaBXgirl really enjoys graphic novels. I love books that make us think. Climate change is real. It is happening all around us. This book shares Sami and Yuki’s stories and what climate change means to them and how it affects them on their sides of the planet.
