One of my favorite gift guides to do has to be the infant and toddler one. There are always such fun toys and useful items for this age. This could easily have been my longest list but I remembered that I wanted to be intentional when giving ideas. Everything included here has been tested not only by those in the age group it is recommended for but also by our in-house eight-year-old reviewer who believes that baby toys are not just for babies!
Penguin Music Wobbler – Little hands will love to tip over this toy and watch it stand right back up without ever really falling down. They will giggle over how it gets right back up with its roly-poly self. And the tinkle sounds will mesmerize them along with its waddle and moving arms.
Playfoam Shape & Learn – This is a wonderful way to introduce letter and number shapes to your toddler. I have raved about Playfoam for years as you can see from this old 2018 post! I love how it has evolved. We all know that I am all about play learning. Allowing littles to shape out the letters using this is great for occupational therapy, letter recognition, and more. It is also a lot of fun!
Baby Drum – There are different ways that your little can play with this drum. They can roll it, and watch the lights and listen to the sounds that play as it moves. They can also play it. Each colored circle plays a different sound. I appreciate the volume control. The loud setting is LOUD so I prefer to leave it on the first setting. It plays a number of different beats as it is rolled. I enjoy that it’s not annoying sounds but ones that sound like real music.
DJ Mix and Spin Studio – This will keep littles busy for hours!!!! It’s suitable for ages 1 and over. And let me tell you, anyone that gets their hands on it will want to have a jam session. Every child that comes into my home from my 1-year-old niece to me has played with this. Yup, I’m down for a scratch or twelve. JustaBXgirl loves to play the piano and mess with all of the sound effects.
Organic Urban Drool Bibs – You can never have too many bibs when you have a baby or toddler at home. They save from food and drool. These are great because they cover the child’s torso so you don’t have to worry about a wet or stained shirt. They are also backed with water-resistant fleece to add to absorption. And do you see how stylish these drool bibs are? Perfect holiday gift.
Latching In Love – Supporting babies means supporting mamas too. When thinking about what to get baby for the holidays, consider ways to support their mama. Latching In Love provides lactation and postpartum doula services. You can purchase a gift card for mama to use for an in-person (Orlando area) or virtual visit.
